A former mining town built into and onto the sides of a steep seaside cliff that is made of stone and white clay. The upper portions of the city are ventilated by an intricate system of fans and pipes.  A great many elevators snake their way on the sides of the cliff with wooden structures and buildings jut precariously from their anchors on the side of the cliff. The top Level is encased in an angular sloped wall encircled by ramparts. Tall factories grasp upwards like hungry fingers compensating for the lack of space with verticality.
