====== The Divine ======

The Pantheon of Gods is in a state of constant turnover. Old Gods have died or fallen away from popularity losing their influence and power. Unless you are the most devout of cleric or paladin the divine have very little influence over your life directly. This is often due to an abundance of caution given the long history of divine beings being  exploited and killed in the distant and near past. Instead they choosing to quietly continuing their duties. The exception to this are Demigods, These are often newly formed gods and former mortals or magical beings, expanding their power and having earthly ties and direct obligations to their followers. 

The goddess of Life is an exceptional individual, an avatar of life that is reborn as the previous one dies. She is as fragile as life itself can often be.

====== The Arcane ======

Unless they were sequestered away magical items and beings were sapped of their power and killed by the mists of [[events:the_tumult|The Tumult]]. 

Now that all but one of the mist wells have been sealed, magic has been experiencing a resurgence. Fey have returned from the feywild and have returned to their homes, Magic artifacts are being unburied, and the web of magic that has been damaged and destroyed is slowly beginning to heal. 

The Tenebrous Empire has discovered means of extracting the magical energies of blood. Even ordinary individuals can benefit from blood-craft tools, machinery and weapons that utilize angst crystals as a power source. It is a marriage of mechanical, magical and divine that will make our home the marvel of our world and beyond.
