The Sledge Ventures Across the Ice

Bundling into the sledge we get ready for our trip across the ice as the first snowfall of the new season begins. As we cross the lake, blasted by high winds, we hear, below the sounds of the wind, high pitched screeching and snapping. Fingers of ice caress the bottom of the sledge, shapes appear to move on the edge of our vision, in the wind and snow. Having made our way across the lake with only a little difficulty, we arrive the next day in the Vein.

Mad gets us into an enforcer building, where we can shelter, though Caiden is restless and attempts to make his way to his home. Going through the Abbey of Sin, where he gets mugged a little bit, but he gets away.

We turn on the radio and hear about the news from Krovil, it is in martial law, and there is an ever growing list of missing persons, whom much of our party is on. We switch to a Vein station and the host starts dissing Mad and family.
