Brunch is interrupted by an uncomfortable surprise

The next morning we wake and have breakfast, but while eating a vampire teleports atop our table, here to deliver something to the bar. Taking out his pocket watch with sigillary upon it, he reveals himself to be Grimwald. Adelheid moves to help him off the table, and tries to stab him with her silvered dagger, though Mad interposes himself and takes the blow. A short fight breaks out where everyone attempts to deescalate the scenario and Adelheid attempts to kill him. Eventually Vira casts sleep, causing Adelheid to pass out, and she steals Adelheid's silvered dagger.

Talys Grimwald reveals that he was sent here via banishment, and will be returning within the minute, though the minute passes and he remains. The Scrimshander offers him a spot on our sledge when we leave in the evening, and Grimwald accepts.

When she awakes, Adelheid is furious, and the group have a heated argument with Adelheid, where she explains what happens to her people. Still, the group chides Adelheid for choosing unyeilding violence, and Adelheid stalks off when they accidentally reveal that Grimwald will be accompanying them away from the city.

The Scrimshander speaks to Mad about his self sacrificing attitude and actions, and Vira and Caiden speak to Adelheid about what happened to her and why much of her skin is covered in bark.

That evening, we set off on the sledge, warned that if anything should go wrong, we need to stay very still.
