2 Crimson Harvest, 52
Down in the basin under the drain those held there await their fate
Played on: June 24 2025
The Scrimshander's note, an origami owl, sent last night, has arrived at its destination, though we are none the wiser. Mad goes out to profile the others who are down here with us, and Skullduggary goes with. Most here appear to be partygoers, separate to the rest is an eyepatch wearing person, with long hair and a heavy overcoat, chewing on a bit of a match, apparently. Mad moves on. Caiden gets up and eats, and goes to look around and see if there are any guards, though there does not appear to be. A man heads up to our cliff when Caiden goes to eat. After a short conversation, the man tries to grab some of the food from Caiden, and Mad moves to stop it. The man instead turns to question what Mad is doing down here, and Mad agrees to tell him in exchange for the days blood for one of our vampires. Skullduggary also bargains for the match the man was chewing, and then eats it himself. The Scrimshander has their meal.
He asks if we smelled turpentine after the assassination, as apparently he's heard that that's what royal blood smells like (though this is a half truth). His name is Syrael Veilaen. He leaves. Mad offers half his sandwich to Adelheid, but she turns it down. Skullduggary goes to find the toughest person down here, finding a dwarf wider than he is tall, and decides to keep track of him.
We all go for a walk down one of the tunnels, encountering a place made up like an ice house, with furniture and the like made of ice. Vira feels a set of eyes upon her, and looks up, seeing a lady above us. Vira says hello, and asks if we have wandered here into her residence, and the lady says that we should not be here, and she drifts down on almost ruined wings, no longer functional. The lady says that we have been left down here forgotten as well, and asks Vira if she is ok, as she seems unwell, and that she had a sibling once, who she lost the same way. Her name is Xenia Sulak. Caiden considers his histories, and recalls that Xenia is rumoured to be Alexander's mother. She says that she is down here for political maneuvering, she was formerly a Deva (messengers of deities). At one time she was a friend of the grand prince before he turned. She claims she has survived on bugs and fungi, but that is a dubious claim.
